Sen. Joe Manchin-WV(D) turns his back on West Virginia and joins President Obama and Washington Liberals to create new gun regulations. With his support from the NRA and self-titling himself as a "pro-gun candidate," it appears that his self-title was merely a self-title that he created to win re-election. Beating former candidate for Senate John Raese in the 2012 WV Senatorial election 60.5% to 36.5%, it appears that Sen. Manchin may not be the same man that he was on the election trail, or the man he portrayed himself to be. According to the White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney, Manchin also had a discussion with the President in the recent days about gun control legislation.
During an interview on MSNBC, Manchin made the statement, "This has changed the dialog, and this should move beyond dialog; we need action." West Virginia has ALWAYS been a strong supporter of the second amendment, and Sen. Manchin may have something to worry about in his next run for office.
